Windows 8 透過 Windows Update 升級 Windows 10 時，若跳出錯誤代碼 0x80240020，通常是因為 Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS，智慧型背景傳輸服務) 未啟用，導致更新檔案無法下載傳輸。

快速修復

1. 右鍵開始按鈕 → 選擇 「命令提示字元 (系統管理員)」（或 Windows PowerShell 管理員）。
2. 輸入 proxycfg -d 按 Enter，移除可能干擾的 Proxy 設定。
3. 輸入 services.msc 開啟服務管理員。
4. 找到 Background Intelligent Transfer Service，右鍵 → 「內容」。
5. 「啟動類型」設為 自動，若服務已停止請點「啟動」，按確定。
6. 重新開機後，再次執行 Windows Update 升級。

BITS 是 Windows Update、WSUS、System Center 等傳輸大型檔案的核心服務，一旦被停用或設為手動，升級、修補程式下載皆會失效。養成檢查此服務狀態的習慣，可避免多種更新錯誤。
